Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott are officially calling it quits.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 star, 50, has filed for divorce from the Canadian actor, 57, citing irreconcilable differences, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE. Spelling's filing lists their date of separation as June 17, 2023, the same day that McDermott posted a now-deleted Instagram post announcing their separation.

"It's with great sadness and a very very heavy heart that after 18 years together and 5 amazing children, that @torispelling and I have decided to go our separate ways, and start a new journey of our own," the Open Range actor wrote at the time. "We will continue to work together as loving parents and guide and love our children through this difficult time."

Representatives for Spelling and McDermott didn't immediately respond to EW's request for comment Friday.

According to the filing, Spelling is seeking spousal support and asking that McDermott not receive spousal support. She's also seeking sole physical custody and joint legal custody of their children, who range in age from 6 to 16. The documents contain no indication of a prenuptial agreement, nor any information about the estranged couple's properties.

Spelling and McDermott met in 2005 while filming the TV movie Mind Over Murder and wed in Fiji the following year. They want on to appear in numerous screen projects together, including Spelling's Lifetime reality series True Tori, the 2007 TV movie House Sitter, and The Last Sharknado: It's About Time.
