St. Pete Bacon and BBQ Festival: There will be more than 100 bacon and barbecue dishes, cornhole, music by Tropidelic, the Headtones, the New Rulers, Tuff Son, Seranation and more. $15-$25, 12 and younger free. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day: The weekend will feature lots of concerts and heritage events, and on Monday, bands, dance teams, floats and car clubs will be marching in downtown St. Petersburg and Tampa. In St. Petersburg, the parade starts at 11 a.m. and travels east to west on First Avenue South, ending at Tropicana Field, where there will be a free MLK Family Fun Day festival with carnival rides, face painting, food, drinks and more. In Tampa, bands from Florida A&M University, Bethune-Cookman University and Edward Waters University, alongside more than 100 participating groups, will line up at Cuscaden Park, 2900 N. 15th St., at noon. It ends at Middleton High School, 4801 N. 22nd St., Tampa.
