Shiokaze Park took center stage for the preliminary rounds of women's beach volleyball as pairs from across the globe hit the sand in the hopes of starting their journey toward the medal ceremony. While some fans might still be bummed that Kerri Walsh Jennings won't step between the lines for another chapter in her already remarkable career, the early action has been phenomenal and worth a second look.
