'Top Gear' Dominates Lamborghini and Porsche With New VW GTI Clubman S

On Top Gear, host Rory Reid was joined by famed driver Sabine Schmitz to see how the new Volkswagen GTI Clubsport S compares to other sports cars when tackling the Nürburgring racetrack. The 306 horsepower hatchback is the current record holder for front-wheel-drive production cars on the Nürburgring with a time of 7:49.21. Driver Sabine Schmitz, who is famous for her blazing times around this particular track, was able to use all of the the little car's full potential. Behind her capable hands the car passed much more powerful and expensive cars such as a Nissan GTR, a Lamborghini Gallardo 570-4 Superleggera, and a Porsche GT3 RS. The car costs about $42,500, which is a lot for a GTI but considering what it is capable of in capable hands, it seems well priced.
