Top events this week: Tampa Bay Rodeo, Pinellas Pepper Fest and Tampa Bay Blues Fest

Tampa Bay Rodeo: The area’s top men and women will compete in bull riding, bronco busting, calf roping and more, and there will be a family festival with food, activities and a mechanical bull. Country singer Emmet Stevens Jr. will perform both nights. In addition, there will be monster truck rides, camel rides, a giant slide, Jenga and cornhole. Tampa Bay Blues Fest: The kickoff party features the Blood Brothers, a blues rock band featuring Mike Zito and Albert Castiglia and winner of Blues Music Awards for Best Blues Rock Album and Best Blues Rock Artist for 2022 and 2023. $40. 8 p.m. Thursday (April 11).
