Venus in Fur: David Ives’ psycho-sexual dark comedy explores themes of submission, domination and power. In the play, director-playwright Thomas runs through the script for his adaptation of the German sadomasochistic novel “Venus in Furs” with Vanda during an audition. Tampa Bay Caribbean Carnival: The 19th annual celebration of Caribbean culture includes a street parade, a concert, food vendors, kids activities and lots of authentic food for two days at two locations.
