2024 Florida RV SuperShow: The theme of the 2024 Florida RV SuperShow is Rock on Down the Highway! Find RV’s in all types and sizes, as well as roaming entertainment, seminars, camping supplies, campground information, insurance, food and drink. St. Petersburg Power and Sailboat Show: Billed as the “Gulf coast’s largest boat show,” it features boats of all makes and models for sale and show in the water and on land. It also includes seminars on boating, fishing and other marine-related topics, along with fan favorites like kids fishing clinics and on-water boat training courses. $22, 15 and younger free. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Jan. 18-20, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Jan. 21. John’s Pass Seafood Festival: For the last 42 years, the historic John’s Pass Village & Boardwalk in Madeira Beach becomes a venue for a large celebration of fresh gulf seafood, the John’s Pass Seafood Festival. The three-day outdoor event features hundreds of local vendors offering a plethora of seafood, an art and crafts show, live music and various family-friendly activities. No cover. Children’s Gasparilla: Children’s Gasparilla consists of multiple events. The day starts with a Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety Rodeo from noon-2 p.m. on Bayshore Boulevard between Rome and Dakota avenues. Kids get a free bicycle helmet before traversing a mini traffic course. Look up into the sky from noon-4 p.m. for the Gasparilla Air Invasion featuring civilian aerobatic teams, vintage military aircraft and the Chuters Parachute Demonstration Team. Children ages 5 and younger dress like pirates and strut their stuff along Bayshore Boulevard in the Gasparilla Preschooler’s Stroll from 2-3 p.m. The Children’s Gasparilla Parade begins at 4 p.m. at Bay to Bay and Bayshore boulevards. It runs north on Bayshore and ends at Edison Avenue at 6:15 p.m. A Nighttime Air Invasion takes place from 6:15-7 p.m. featuring a fireworks flight. Pirates and fireworks combine for the Piratechnic fireworks finale from 7-7:30 p.m. WWE Superstars Bianca Belair and Montez Ford will serve as the grand marshals, and New York Mets first baseman and Tampa native Pete Alonso will be honored as this year’s Community Hero for his philanthropic work Free. Rock Me Amadeus — Live!: The world premiere of the groundbreaking rock-meets-classical fusion concert experience. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parades: Area communities holding parades honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday.

  • St. Petersburg: Local bands join the parade as well as out-of-town bands. Also includes dance teams, floats, car clubs and marching units representing area agencies. She Kills Monsters: The story of a young woman grieving for her deceased sister, who she discovers was a well-known Dungeons & Dragons player, passionate about online fantasy gaming. Cosplay encouraged.
