5. Final weeks to see Frida
Frida and Her Garden exhibit runs through Sept. 10, exploring the influence of home and nature to Frida Kahlo's work. The exhibit at Naples Botanical Garden, 4820 Bayshore Drive, Naples, re-created portions of La Casa Azul (the Blue House), Kahlo's residence in Mexico City’s Coyoacán borough, and the expansive garden surrounding it. Exhibition is hosted in partnership with Museo Frida Kahlo. Exhibit is included with Garden admission. naplesgarden.org
4. See Grammy-winning band at Hertz
The Grammy-winning Mexican-American band Los Tigres del Norte has sold millions of albums and is famous for its politically charged corridos and its stories about working people, immigrants, outlaws and politicians. 3. PAW Patrol Live! at Hertz Arena
The heroic pups from Nickelodeon’s animated preschool TV series come to life in PAW Patrol Live!: "Heroes Unite," an all-new show at Hertz Arena, 11000 Everblades Parkway, Estero. Audience members get to be honorary members of the pack and the show promises “stunning visual effects." 6 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 29-30. $45-$85. 2. Songwriters for Vets 2023 is Saturday
Nashville songwriters return for another Southwest Florida concert raising money for military veterans through the Songwriters for Vets foundation. They’ll perform and tell the stories behind their songs. The lineup includes Tim Nichols, Champ Jaxon, Channing Wilson, Tyler Reeve, Patrick Davis and Django Walker. 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26. $125. Stage 2 Improv, the original improv company in Southwest Florida, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, takes the stage at Arts Center Theatre, 1089 N. Collier Blvd.,, Suite 432, Marco Island. This family-friendly event is expected to showcase improvisational skills and unique brand of comedy. Audience participation is part of the show, making it a fresh, fun family experience.
