Which music legend has the best-selling album of all time? It’s the late Michael Jackson with “Thriller,” and it’s not even close. He has certified sales (albums, cassettes, CDs) of over 70 million copies, with the next closest competitor at 50 million copies being AC/DC (“Back in Black”) in second place.

Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” (30 million) and “Abbey Road” (30 million), Pink Floyd with “The Dark Side of the Moon” with 45 million and “The Wall” (30 million) and Celine Dion with “Falling into You” (32 million) and “Let’s Talk About Love” (31 million).

The list has a wide range of genres, including pop, rock, country, disco and hard rock. One interesting group of top sellers features movie soundtracks, including “The Bodyguard” featuring Whitney Houston (45 million), “Saturday Night Fever” featuring The Bee Gees (40 million) and “Dirty Dancing” (32 million).
