1. Weber Pumpkin Festival
This fifth-generation family farm has been around since 1899. The annual pumpkin festival brings together more than 175 arts and crafts vendors and includes live music, food vendors, a petting zoo, amusement rides for the kids, you-cut sunflowers, a craft beer garden, pumpkin sculpting and other live demonstrations.

4. Cincinnati Storytelling Festival
If you love hearing a good story, this festival is a must-attend. Thursday's events happen at West Side Brewing, with the remainder taking place at Madcap Education Center. Here's the schedule: Thursday: “Gather Round,” featuring national storytellers. Friday: “Uproarious” tales to make you laugh at 7 p.m., “Spooky Stories” at 8:30 p.m. On Saturday: “TrueTheatre” tells true stories from local stars at 5:30 p.m., “Old Tales Told New” features reimagined age-old stories at 7 p.m., and at 8:30 p.m., it's “One Last Story,” which finds featured storytellers leaving listeners with something to think about.

5. Salt Festival
Learn about pioneer life and traditions at this festival, which celebrates the time-honored process of extracting salt from springs. See demonstrations, shop handcrafted items, enjoy bluegrass and folk music, Native American drumming and dancing, storytellers and prehistoric artifacts. There's a children's area with a petting zoo, haybale climbing, pumpkin painting, games and a free pumpkin for every child. Note: Children's area is not open on Friday.

6. Mutual Dance Theatre presents Dallas Black Dance Theatre
Founded in 1976, this contemporary dance company consists of 14 professional, full-time dancers performing a mixed repertory of modern, ballet, jazz and ethnic works by nationally and internationally known choreographers. For the first time ever in Cincinnati, this is your chance to see them live.

7. Cincinnati Cyclones vs. Wheeling Nailers

8. 'Girl from the North Country'

Loosely based on three earth-based themes – land, waterways and trees – this special series of public talks and performances features artists, critics, curators and distinguished speakers. The morning session centers on land and stewardship; afternoon session focuses on borders and exchange. Sessions include discussions, workshops, keynote speakers and performances.

12. Norwood Historic Home Tour & Fall Festival
The Norwood Historic Home Tour joins with the Fall Festival this year, featuring free live music, kids' activities, craft vendors, the Off Pike Market, treats and drinks at Victory Park. Tours begin and end at the park, where a bus and guide takes visitors on a tour of the city, including tours inside three historic homes.
The Northwood Cider Company hosts it's Fall Apple Festival nearby, featuring an apple pie contest, Wesler orchard market, food trucks and Harvest Mulled Cider release.
