‘It Took My Son To Lose His Life To Really See How Serious Voting Is,’ Says Ahmaud Arbery’s Father

Twenty-five-year-old Ahmaud Arbery was jogging in a Georgia neighborhood when he was shot to death after being chased by three white men. Nearly three years later, his father, Marcus, says it’s a struggle knowing his son died because of the color of his skin. He says he’s now on a mission to get people to understand how important their vote is. “It took my son to lose his life to really see how serious voting is, to get the right people in office that are going to do the right thing,” Marcus says. “Why is it so hard for people to do the right thing?” Hear more of Marcus’ powerful words in the video above.
