Tony Khan: Having Adam Copeland As A Locker Room Leader Is Such A Special Thing For Us

Tony Khan has high praise for Adam Copeland‘s work in front of the camera and behind the scenes in AEW.

All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan was a guest on Z100 with Josh Martinez yesterday. When asked about what it means to have Adam Copeland in his locker room, Khan said he believes Copeland is a great leader for AEW.

“Adam Copeland is such a great leader for AEW,” Tony Khan said. “He’s a TNT champion, and having The Rated R Superstar as a locker room leader is such a special thing for us. We’re going to have Adam Copeland wrestling tomorrow night on Wednesday night Dynamite, a TNT championship match. It’s a Cope Open match, and it could be any one of the three of the House of Black wrestling Adam Copeland.

“And the House of Black hold the advantage here because they know the opponent and Adam doesn’t. It’s going to be a great match. And I think that Adam Copeland has been such a great champion for AEW, and a great leader. And tomorrow night on TBS, I think that’s going to be a great match.

“I’m really looking forward to that. I am also very grateful to have Adam Copeland, The Rated R Superstar, in AEW every week. And really, this is the first time we’ve gone a week without seeing Adam in a long time. He’s recovering from that mist and that great match we had last week at AEW Dynasty.”
