Tonight Show: Anna Kendrick, John Lithgow share kids' campfire stories
John Lithgow reading campfire horror stories written by elementary school kids is the kind of thing you don’t know you need until you watch it.
The acclaimed actor of stage and screen brought his booming voice to The Tonight Show for a bit called “Kids Campfire,” in which he shared spooky tales penned by kids under the age of 10 along with Anna Kendrick and host Jimmy Fallon. They’re the kind of stories with titles like “The Hungry Ghost” and “Ghost Boy,” and revolve around things like a ghost’s late-night trip to McDonald’s.
Lithgow, whose career ranges from King Lear to a killer role in Dexter, committed to the material. Watch him in the clip below.
