Toni Braxton Fails to Help Sister With Acting Lesson

Towanda Braxton has recently been taking acting lessons on Braxton Family Values. Towanda’s acting coach, David Lee Strasberg of the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, gave her a monologue to perform, so she went to her big sister, Toni, for some help. Unfortunately for Towanda, Toni wasn’t very helpful.

Toni joked around about performing the monologue with a Spanish accent, which Towanda was not interested in doing. Once they got to the studio where Towanda was to perform her scene, coach David suggested Toni get onstage to give her sister someone to look at as she delivered her monologue. Even though Toni didn’t have any lines, she really wanted to create her character’s backstory. The older Braxton sister wondered if her character could be Towanda’s lesbian granddaughter who was just broken up with by her lover. Coach David jokingly replied, “That would probably kill me.”

Braxton Family Values airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. on WE TV.
