This suspense thriller series, which was a major trend in Spring 2022, has captivated audiences with its twisted plot and constant anticipation. Tomodachi Game follows a group of high school students navigating through a series of peculiar challenges. However, the real twist comes when a traitor is revealed within the group, adding a new layer of suspense and mystery to the plot!

Who is the traitor in the series?

There are two traitors in the Tomodachi Game: Yutori Kokorogi and Makoto Shibe. In chapter 82 of the manga, Yutori’s betrayal is revealed. He manipulated everyone for his benefit. She has two personalities that contrast with one another. The first is her adorable demeanor, while the second is her brutal, violent, and narcissistic face.

Kokorogi’s house appeared beaten down, but to Shiho’s surprise, her room was packed with expensive things. When Shiho witnessed Kokorogi using a taser against her mother, her ruthless personality was revealed. This resulted in Shiho becoming a hostage of the Tomodachi Game admins. As everyone was suspicious of Shiho, no one believed his warnings regarding Kokorogi.

Shibe Makoto betrayed everyone by working with Shiba Taizen behind the scenes. Shiba was the stepbrother of Katagiri Yuuichi. Shiho was curious about their reasoning, but none of them talked.

How does the Tomodachi Game work?

Tomodachi Games translates to Friendship Games, which involves a plethora of challenges for the participants. Completing these tasks rewards them with money; thus, the competition among friends begins. Revenge and Money are two prominent elements of this game.

As shown in the anime, participants are selected by a representative and held captive inside the Tomodachi Game. The administration, which includes the Gods and other staff, monitors these people. The challenges are funded by the Gods and hosted by the mascot, Manabu.

Although the mechanics of the Tomodachi Game have yet to be explored in detail, each challenge has different mechanics, rules, and regulations. However, the game’s main objective is to clear the challenges and pay off the debt.
