The family fight between Tommy Lee and son Brandon Thomas Lee is over, at least officially.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office confirmed Monday that it had declined to file charges against Brandon, the 21-year-old son of the former Mötley Crüe drummer and actress Pamela Anderson, for an altercation last month, due to “victim unavailability.” TMZ was the first to report the news.

On March 5, the L.A. County Sheriff’s Office responded to an incident at Tommy’s Calabasas, Calif., home. Tommy was taken to the hospital and explained his version of events on social media.

Their confrontation happened the same night that Tommy sent angry tweets about an interview his ex-wife had done with Piers Morgan that aired two nights earlier. The sit-down referenced a 1998 domestic dispute in which Pamela was assaulted by Tommy while she was holding Brandon’s baby brother, Dylan, in front of Brandon. Tommy pleaded no contest to charges and served six months in jail.

For his part, Brandon said he was acting in self-defense because his dad was drunk. He alleged the entire incident had been brought on by his father’s alcoholism, something Tommy denied.

Brandon’s Baywatch mom supported her son in a March blog post. She said Brandon had “punched [Tommy] in the nose for all of us who he has hurt — Now Tommy feels humiliated — and is attempting to destroy his own son.”

However, Tommy gave Brandon a break today.
