Tom Segura first met Christina Pazsitzky on the comedy circuit in the 1990s

Tom Segura and his wife, Christina Pazsitzky, inspire each other's work.

The Cincinnati-born comedian met his wife on the stand-up circuit in the late 1990s, but they didn’t begin dating until a few years into their friendship.

The pair got married in 2008 and share two sons: Ellis and Julian. Tom and Christina have also worked together, co-hosting the podcast Your Mom's House since 2010, on which they talk about their relationship, funny internet videos and interview other comedians.

Tom has discussed their marriage and family life in his solo work, too. In 2011, he shared his key to a happy marriage during the Just For Laughs festival, joking that "intimidation and fear" are how he and Christina make it work.

The podcaster has also revealed that he and Christina use their children as an excuse to get out of events and social obligations. In an interview with The Dad in 2018, Tom said, “I love it when someone’s like, ‘Can you make it to this thing?’ I’ll be like, ‘Nah, Christina’s out, and I have to watch my son.’ They don’t even question it.”

She was born in Canada to Hungarian parents

Christina, who often goes by the moniker Christina P., was born in the city of Windsor, Ontario, in 1976 to Hungarian parents who left their country in 1969 — something she’s discussed on her podcast with Tom. When she was a child, her family relocated to the United States and settled in Southern California.

Christina studied philosophy at the University of San Francisco, graduating in 1999. She then attended the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom and briefly attended law school.

She’s a stand-up comedian

After finishing college, Christina went into comedy. In 1998, she was a member of the cast for MTV’s Road Rules: Down Under and also became a part of the Deathsquad Network of comedians, which included her eventual husband, Tom, and online personality Joe Rogan.

She has two one-hour stand-up comedy specials on Netflix, Christina P: Mother Inferior, and Christina P: Mom Genes, in which she discusses motherhood, getting older and her childhood. Christina frequently tours across the U.S. and Canada, too.

She met Tom in the 1990s

Christina and Tom first met while they were both young comedians in the 1990s. Speaking on the TigerBelly podcast in 2018, Tom explained that they were friends first and performed at open mic nights together.

However, she was in a long-term relationship at the time, and when it eventually ended, Tom asked her out on a date. Christina initially turned him down, but she later asked him out, and they began dating.

"I was friends with her, we would do shows together, and she was a part of the crew. I always thought she was attractive but she was taken," Tom said on the podcast. "I got a call one day by one of my spies like, 'yo, they broke up,' so I decided to swing in there and see what's up."

For a few years, they spent a lot of time apart due to their respective careers and would only see each other a couple of times each week.

She married Tom in 2008

Christina and Tom got married on Nov. 8, 2008. She celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in 2018 by making a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, in which she joked about the texts she and her husband send each other.

Christina often references her marriage in her comedic material, sharing common obstacles others may also face. During her first Netflix special in 2020, she opened up about enjoying Tom’s humor but noted that he isn’t the best at finding items in their home and often leans on her for help.

"I love my husband. I laugh at his jokes. I think he's fantastic," she said before jokingly adding, "And, then all day, every day, I want to punch him in his dumb face."

She has two children with Tom

Christina has two children with Tom: Ellis, born in 2016, and Julian, welcomed in 2018. Both comedians often talk about their children and parenting in their work but generally, keep them out of the public eye.

“Having a baby broke me down,” Christina said in Mother Inferior. “Emotionally, spiritually, physically."

However, before Julian was born, she described Ellis as the “best thing that ever happened to me” and “the love of my life," also calling herself a “fierce mama wolf.”

She works with Tom on the podcast Your Mom’s House

Christina works with her husband on their podcast, Your Mom’s House. The pair also operate a podcast studio by the same name, which boasts over 1.8 million subscribers on YouTube.

In addition, the studio produces Christina's solo podcast, Where My Moms At? Her audio show has featured a range of guests, including Alyssa Milano, Hila Klein and Whitney Cummings.

She’s a dog lover

Christina has a self-professed obsession with dogs, joking on her website that she has an “intense love of dogs."

She has a dog, Bitsy, and used to have another, Feefo, who died in 2019. A few months before her death, Christina shared a photo of both pups on Instagram with the caption “TBM to when Bitsy was a puppy and Feefo barely tolerated her existence.”
