Tom Hanks Suffering From Flu During The Golden Globes, Holds Up 'Emergen-C' Packet
Tom Hanks just reminded us that not only is he one of the greatest actors in the history of Hollywood films, but he is human like the rest of us.
The A-lister just accepted the Cecil B. DeMille Award during this year's Golden Globes, and he started out his acceptance speech by telling the crowd he is suffering from a terrible cold.
In other words, Tom still had to go to work even though he is sick. We all know how that feels!

Showing His Vitamin Packet To Cameras!
In fact, during the broadcast leading up to the award, one of the cameras panned over to Hanks who help up a packet of Emergen-C. If you have been living under a rock for the past few years, it is a powder that you mix with water to help while you are sick.
It classic fashion, Tom pretended to cough and showed off the packet of powder to the camera as he reached for his water.
During his speech, Hanks mentioned that he had been drinking bright orange water all day and it was "making him jittery," an obvious reference to the powder's color.
The cold did not take away from Tom's beautiful speech where he thanked his family for making the journey with him all these years. The actor got emotional while talking about his family, and you could see them getting teary as well.

The day started out a bit rough for the Hanks family after wife Rita Wilson's glam squad showed up over an hour late to help get them ready.
"What you look like when your hair and makeup person for the @goldenglobes is one and a half hours late even though you booked him in September. Will leave one hour to do hair and makeup," Wilson said on Instagram.

Rita posted a photo of herself without makeup and her hair done at the time. A few minutes later she added, “Hair and makeup still not here. Trying to be zen ... Booked this person in September. Hair and makeup still not here.”
Tons of celebrities responded to the social post including Kate Bosworth, who said"Oh that’s the craziest feeling, you look gorgeous anyway though 😘" Julianne Moore added, "Omg I feel u."
Daisy Fuentes responded, "I can’t with rude, unprofessional, inconsiderate crap like that. Lucky you’re gorgeous & have an epic mane 🙌🏼🔥 #naturallybeautiful." Rosanna Arquette added, "Beauty. Love you. Bravo to Tom."
