Tom Hanks And Some More 'Nice Guys' Who Created Some Pretty Controversial Kids
Celebrity kids are the bane of most people’s existence. Sometimes they feel overly entitled to their parent’s money and reputation. This often gets them in trouble and what would celebrity status be without a little trouble. Most recently, Tom Hank’s son has embarrassed him on the red carpet at the "Golden Globe" awards on Sunday. Chet, 29 has recently issued an apology for his offensive, well two offensive videos of him imitating Patois, the Jamaican dialect. Chet has made it no secret that he is trying to be a rapper but this is not the way to get the attention he needs for that career. Thankfully, for him, he isn’t the only celebrity kid to embarrass the hell out of his family. He’s in good company with these list mates.
Indio Downey
Unfortunately, for the loveable Robert Downey Jr. his apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Downey Jr. has had his own demons when it comes to addiction, but he cleaned himself up and created an insanely successful career for himself. his son, Indio, was arrested back in 2014 for possession of cocaine. He pled guilty and was sentenced to a rehab program. If finished, the charges would be dropped. At the time he was 21, so we can chalk it up to young and dumb, right? Fortunately, he is sober and trying to get into music. A quick one and done.
Charlie Sheen
Charlie Sheen is too damn grown to be on this list, but he is because technically, he is a celebrity’s child. Being the child of Martin Sheen must have been hard growing up. He has a great career and a lot of attention was on him. Charlie and Emilio definitely had to tread lightly when they embarked on their own careers. Fortunately, they both made it in their own right. Sheen has had so many troubles with the law that we can’t list them all in detail. However, some notable embarrassments were when he was on the top of a building yelling about tiger’s blood. He has been arrested numerous times for substance abuse related issues. He has even been accused of domestic violence. The actor has calmed down tremendously and is even sober but the damage is done.
Weston Cage
Nicolas Cage’s son Weston is a complete embarrassment. Weston has been in several public altercations including a domestic violence case against his now ex-wife, Nikki Williams. We get it, lovers quarrel and we shouldn’t judge but what can we say about him getting beat down by his personal trainer? What could ever prompt a personal trainer to beat on their own client? Apparently, he and his trainer were out to lunch and when the trainer tried to help Weston make better food choices, the wannabe musician lost his head. He attacked the trainer who we all can assume is muscled up and well, he got his butt handed to him. Cage has always stayed by his son’s side but we are beginning to think this enabling is what is helping him to continue to make these bad decisions.
Cameron Douglas
The son of Michael Douglas, Cameron made an epic mistake when got arrested back on 2009 and had to serve five-years in prison. And yes, he served basically all of his time. Cameron was arrested for conspiracy to distribute narcotics. He was busted trying to sell heroin which makes no sense because Michael Douglas does not seem like the type to say no to lending his kids some money. It’s important to note that out of all of Douglas’ kids he is the only one who has had this much of a slip up. While in prison, Cameron was caught with drugs so he had more time tacked onto his already five-year sentence. All in all, he served seven years and once he was released he wrote a book (or someone wrote his thoughts down for him) titled “Long Way Home.”
