Tom Hanks Called Colin Hanks Tubby, but in a Loving Way
On Thursday’s Conan, Colin Hanks shared a story about his dad, Tom Hanks, telling him that he had gotten a little too tubby. Colin Hanks said, “I went and shot a movie with Peter Jackson called King Kong down in New Zealand, and I really got into the hobbit lifestyle when I was down there. A lot of mutton and beer, zero time at the gym, and I got really tubby.”
Upon returning to the States, his father said in a scarily serious tone, “I’d really like to talk with you about something.”
Though Colin Hanks freaked out, Tom Hanks explained that he’d gotten a little too tubby and should lose the weight. Colin decided to use an upcoming role as an excuse to stay on the portly side. Although, Tom was proved right when a review of the movie said it starred an “out-of-shape Colin Hanks.”
The lesson here is to always listen to Tom Hanks.
