Tom Cruise's Reason for Breaking Up With Elsina Khayrova Reportedly Had Nothing To Do With Her

One minute Tom Cruise was happy and in love with Elsina Khayrova and then the next minute they split. That whiplash moment in their relationship had fans wondering what happened between the 61-year-old superstar and his Russian socialite girlfriend. Well, it sounds like she did nothing wrong, but her ex-husband Dmitry Tsvetkov might have.

Soon after the news leaked that Cruise was courting a new girlfriend last year, Khayrova’s former spouse decided that an interview with the Daily Mail was a good idea. He spilled the details from their marriage and hinted about what the Mission Impossible star should expect if he wanted Khayrova to stick around. “Irrespective of whoever she’s with, Tom Cruise or anybody else, they should be aware that she likes the finer things in life and has expensive and luxurious taste. Tom should keep his eyes and wallet wide open,” Tsvetkov shared. “I’m happy for her, I wish her all the best.”

But Tsvetkov didn’t stop there, he had more to say, noting that his divorce cost him almost $190 million after a three-year battle. He claimed that he dropped over $12 million on clothing for her and another $2.5 million on handbags. He then revealed that Cruise was his “favorite actor,” calling him “one of the best I have ever seen.” Suddenly, Cruise got cold feet in his relationship with Khayrova, someone close to her had pretty loose lips.

“He’s filming and can’t be shooting and have her husband saying stuff every time he is mentioned in the press,” an insider revealed to Page Six. “They just didn’t want to deal with the ex-husband coming up with something nasty to say every few weeks.” What could possibly go wrong with an ex-husband making claims that he’s seen Cruise in Eyes Wide Shut “around 30 times?” LOL, it is a bit creepy.

When Cruise and Khayrova split in late February, a source close to the couple gave a fairly nonchalant response to The Sun as to why the breakup even happened. “There are no hard feelings between them, and, for Tom, their relationship simply ran its course,” they said. But it looks like Khayrova’s ex ruined the fun for her. Cruise is notoriously private, and he can’t risk anyone spilling the beans about the empire he worked so hard to protect. He’s saying, “Thank you, next!”
