Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen are mourning the death of their family dog, Lulu.

"Our little Lulu, our guardian angel is gone to heaven. She will forever live in our hearts. We already miss her sooooo much! #unconditionallove RIPLua 💔," Bündchen captioned an Instagram post in both English and Portuguese on Saturday. The post featured a carousel of photos of Lulu with the pair's two children together, Benjamin Rein, 14, and Vivian Lake, 11.

Brady also posted a tribute to the dog on his Instagram Story Saturday. "We love you Lua, RIP," he captioned one photo of the dog with his kids. He captioned a solo shot of the pup, "Forever in our hearts," adding a heart emoji.

A final video in his Story appeared to show Vivian snuggling with Lulu and another dog.

Bündchen and Brady — who divorced in 2022 — adopted the pit bull mix during their marriage, and Lulu has been a prominent member of the family through the years. Brady regularly posted about her on social media, and the dog even played on the beach with him in his 2014 Ugg Australia commercial.

In September, the model opened up to PEOPLE about life after her divorce from Brady.

“It's been very tough on my family. It's been a lot — in every area of my life,” she said. "With all the different twists and turns that life takes, all we can do is the best we can, given what happens in our surroundings.”

Bündchen recently settled with her kids in Miami, where one of Vivian's pets is a new horse.

"Now she's already trying to get other horses. She's already like, ‘Mom. They told me I have to have a new horse to jump higher.’ I'm like, ‘You're 10, calm down,'" she said.
