There is a lot of attention being paid to Tom Brady’s dating life and whether he and Irina Shayk are on or off-again in their relationship. But one 1990s star is bringing it back to the early days when they had a brief fling — and she’s not holding back on what she thinks about him now.

American Pie star Tara Reid and the retired NFL athlete enjoyed each other’s company in 2002. The now-48-year-old actress has never hidden the short affair, but fans have often forgotten that these two were even in each other’s orbit over two decades ago. The romance came before her very well-documented engagement to TRL host Carson Daly. Telling Bustle that her Brady relationship was “nothing serious,” but “fun,” Reid shared what they liked to do together — and it sounds very un-Brady like.
“We’d go to beer places and have fun and dance. He was cool,” she reminisced of an era without technology and fans constantly filming celebrities’ every move. “It was a different time.” But if Reid was still single — she’s currently dating club promoter Nathan Montpetit-Howard — and running in Brady’s social circle, it doesn’t sound like she would be interested. “He’s all skinny now. He’s so serious,” she honestly revealed. “He used to laugh. When I watch his interviews, he’s so cocky now.”
It sounds like Brady is no longer her type, and that’s OK, because there are 21 years between when they hooked up and now. Their time together was like that last summer of freedom where things were easy and carefree because she noted that the Hollywood scene changed dramatically once the smartphone landed in everyone’s hands. “We used to go out, do whatever we wanted — then bam,” she remembered. “It just changed so fast.”
