A low-key love! Television personality Tom Bergeron and his wife, Lois Bergeron, have been going strong for decades.

The pair celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in May 2022 after tying the knot in 1982. “40 years ago today 😳🥰 (and she STILL puts up with me),” the former Dancing With the Stars host wrote via Instagram at the time, alongside a photo of the nuptials.

Throughout Tom’s career in show business, Lois has opted to stay out of the spotlight, with the America’s Home Videos alum only mentioning his wife Lois on rare occasions. During a September 2017 appearance on the “10 Percent Happier” podcast, Tom credited his longtime love with helping him address his anger issues.

“There were a few apartment walls in my single days that had holes in the sheetrock that I had punched through,” the Massachusetts native told host Dan Lewis. "Apparently, just putting a poster over it when you leave the apartment does not get you your security deposit back."

Tom explained that while he was dating Lois, she convinced him to examine how he was handling his anger.

“The temper thing was always directed at inanimate objects or myself,” he said. “But there was one time we were out and then something happened and I just put my fist into the door of the car. … And she wisely said, ‘If we’re going to have a relationship, that has to stop.’”

One day after his then-girlfriend’s ultimatum, the Hollywood Squares alum signed up for a Transcendental Meditation course, which he has now practiced for over 40 years.

“It does make you happier,” Tom said of the practice. “It does make you better able to assess things as they’re happening so as to not fly off the handle. I have not damaged any sheetrock in 35 years, I’m proud to say.”

The former radio DJ and his wife share two daughters: Jessica, born in 1988, and Samantha, born in 1990. Tom gushed about his children during an April 2018 interview with Closer Weekly.

“I feel very grateful to be their dad and they make me proud pretty regularly,” he said, adding that he and Lois “know we’re better together than solo.”

More recently, the comedian — who was let go from his DWTS hosting gig in October 2020 after 28 seasons — wished his youngest daughter a happy birthday via Instagram in October 2022.

“This beauty turns 32 today (and she still gives me this look after a dud dad joke 🤣),” he captioned a throwback photo of a young Samantha giving the camera the stink eye. “🎉🎂😘 Happy Birthday Sam 🥰.”
