Tom Bergeron, Erin Andrews Exit ‘Dancing With the Stars’

After 28 seasons, Tom Bergeron will no longer be hosting “Dancing With the Stars.” Erin Andrews, his co-host since season 18, has also departed the show.
Bergeron made the announcement on Twitter on Monday night, saying he had just learned the show would be moving on without him.

Bergeron co-hosted all 28 seasons of the dance competition show from 2005 through 2020, spanning 15 years and nearly 450 episodes.
ABC and BBC Studios said Bergeron has their “sincerest thanks and gratitude” after his many years as host.
“Tom Bergeron will forever be part of the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ family. As we embark on a new creative direction, he departs the show with our sincerest thanks and gratitude for his trademark wit and charm that helped make this show a success. Erin will also not be returning, and we appreciate all that she brought to the ballroom. Fans have been rooting for her since she originally competed as a contestant back in 2010, and her signature sense of humor has become a hallmark of the show,” the studios said in a statement to Variety.

In the first season, he was joined by Lisa Canning, who was replaced by “Entertainment Tonight” correspondent Samantha Harris through season 9. Brooke Burke took over from season 10 to 17, and Erin Andrews began her role in season 18. “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” star and season 19 champion of “Dancing With the Stars” Alfonso Ribeiro filled in for Bergeron for one week in season 21 so he could be with his father, who was sick at the time.
In the most recent season, Hannah Brown, former star of “The Bachelorette,” took home the Mirror Ball trophy with her dance partner Alan Bersten, beating fellow participants including Sean Spicer, Karamo Brown, Kel Mitchell and James Van Der Beek
