The Toledo Museum of Art, 2445 Monroe St., will observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day Monday with several activities.

TOLEDOMartin Luther King Jr. Day will be observed all day Monday at the Toledo Museum of Art.

TMA is usually closed on Mondays, but will be open this week for the holiday. Hours are 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday. Admission and parking are always free.

Activities include:

  • Silent Hip Hope Dance Party: 11 a.m.-4 p.m. "Listen to family-friendly hip hop music and Martin Luther King Jr.’s powerful 'I Have a Dream' speech," TMA said.

  • Collectible Digital Artwork How: 11 a.m.-4 p.m. "Find out how to collect unique digital artwork created by artists Osinachi and Yusuf Lateef for the 'Sankofa Carnival,' TMA’s temporary, digital art experience," TMA said.

  • Art Activities: 11 a.m.-5 p.m. To register, visit toledomuseum.org or stop at the visitor experience desk.

  • A Conversation with Bishop Culp: Noon-1 p.m. Rhonda Sewell, the TMA director of belonging and community engagement, will open the program by reading TMA’s land acknowledgment statement. Then, WTVG-13 news reporter Alexis Means will moderate a conversation with Toledo legend Bishop Robert A. Culp, senior advisor counselor and retired lead pastor, First Church of God. He will talk about his trek to the historic 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, his meeting Martin Luther King Jr. and his journey as a civil rights advocate.

  • Studio Activities: Noon-4 p.m. Make a mixed-media button inspired by the Civil Rights Movement.

  • Ask Me Docents: 1-3 p.m. Learn about artwork in the TMA collection that was created by Black artists, including Elizabeth Catlett, Wangechi Mutu and Kehinde Wiley.

  • African Art Teaching Collection: 2-4 p.m. Explore touchable African Art objects, including a palm wine cup, akua ba doll, mud cloth and Ghanaian mask.

  • View several exhibits, including “Beth Lipman: ReGift," “Expanding Horizons: The Evolving Character of a Nation” and “Jordy R. Pomas: Las Curiosas”
