Damn, son: Todd Snyder and Timex are really up to their old tricks again, aren't they? And by "old tricks" I mean those sly rapscallions are teaming up on yet another banger of a watch, this time taking inspiration from Snyder's second NYC standalone store, The Liquor Store. At this point the two really can't miss. Name a more iconic duo. I'll wait.

Wearing a watch might be the most effective way to remind yourself that despite all indications to the contrary, time is not, in fact, a flat circle. Life will go on. And if you, like me, need an almost-daily reminder of that sad fact, there are few watches on the market more up to the task.

The Liquor Store Watch puts a swanky twist on a classic midcentury style and features all the sweet details you'd expect in a premium timepiece, including a Japanese automatic movement, gold-tone accents by the hands and markers, and a glass exhibition case back, all at a decidedly Timex price. (In other words, it's a bona fide fucking steal.)

These days there's something reassuringly analog about telling time the old-school way instead of mindlessly tapping a phone that'll only force you to confront the news updates you're doing your damndest to avoid acknowledging. Learn to tell time using an actual watch and start the process of slowly isolating yourself from any of the cold, hard factors that tether you to the cruel reality of the outside world.
