Todd Rundgren Enlists Robyn for New Song From New Album

By Noah Yoo.

Todd Rundgren has announced a new album. It’s titled White Knight, and it’s out May 12 via Cleopatra. The album features a slew of high-profile guests, including Robyn, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, Dâm-Funk, Daryl Hall, Donald Fagen, Joe Walsh, and more. In a press release, Rundgren explained, “It’s easy to get used to playing to your own audience, even if you are absorbing and experimenting with new ideas. I wanted to collaborate not just for the musical possibilities, but also to play for new audiences and expose my fans to the range of artists I enjoy working with.” Check out his collaboration with Robyn, “That Could Have Been Me,” here, as well as the album’s tracklist and cover art.

In 2015, Rundgren released the solo album Global and Runddans, a collaborative album with Emil Nikolaisen and Hans-Peter Lindstrøm. Read Pitchfork’s starter guide to the music of Todd Rundgren.
