Today's lesson: Hurdling can be hazardous to your, uh, health

When a ballcarrier pulls off a hurdle of an oncoming defender, it’s a thing of beauty, a magnificent display of athleticism that stuns the crowd, inspires the offense and buckles the defense.

And then there are the times when hurdling goes wrong—so very, very wrong:

That’s the Bills’ Dawson Knox, trying to get fancy and taking a forearm to the nethers for his trouble. The grunt of the announcer when Tennessee’s Logan Ryan stops Knox cold says it all, doesn’t it?

Hurdling: Not even once.
