Susan and Randy claim their 27-year-old college-educated son, Jacob, is emotionally “incapacitated” and virtually unable to do anything for himself, including showering regularly, filling out job applications, or cleaning his bedroom. The couple says although there’s nothing physically wrong with their son, they fear Jacob would be homeless if they weren’t around to take care of him.
