A beloved local dish was recently featured on the "Today" show in honor of the Bengals' upcoming Sunday Night Football game against the Buffalo Bills.

Celebrity chef and restaurateur Tiffany Derry appeared on the morning show Friday to share some football-friendly recipes for the upcoming Bengals vs. Bills matchup. Derry made crispy chicken wings in a garlic parmesan sauce for Bills fans and Cincinnati-style cheese coneys (aka the pride and joy of the Queen City) for Bengals fans.

According to Today.com, Derry's recipe consists of a "tantalizing" mix of chocolate, cinnamon, allspice and cloves for a "chili dog experience like no other." It also says Derry's recipe pairs well with a hearty ale or a seasonal brew with notes of pumpkin, toffee or caramel malt.

Although Derry is not a Cincinnati native, her spin on the local dish, which she likened to Mole, earned the approval of "Today" show hosts Hoda Kotb, Al Roker, Craig Melvin and feature anchor Carson Daily.

"That's a good dog," Roker said. "Well done, Tiffany."

"That is delicious. It's a good thing we're running the marathon this weekend. Oh, wait, we're not," Daily added.

The Bengals (4-3) take on the Buffalo Bills (5-3) at Paycor Stadium on Sunday night. Kickoff is set for 8:20 p.m. ET. The Week 9 game will air on NBC and WLWT-TV (Channel 5) locally.
