TNA iMPACT Results – May 2, 2024

This week’s episode of TNA iMPACT kicks off with a recap video of the big things that took place on last week’s show.

AJ Francis, Rich Swann, and Bun B are up in the VIP balcony to kick off the show. Francis says they wanted a great seat for Joe Hendry’s apology later, so they were going to be sitting there all night.

TNA X-Division Champion Mustafa Ali defeated Chris Bey (w/ Ace Austin) in a non-title match

  • Mustafa Ali hits Chris Bey with a 450 Splash to score the pinfall victory.

Alisha Edwards (w/ Masha Slamovich) defeated Dani Luna (w/ Jody Threat)

  • While the referee was distracted with Alisha Edwards and Jody Threat outside the ring, Masha Slamovich hit Dani Luna with the Snow Plow. Edwards returned to the ring to score the pinfall victory.

Sami Callihan reveals the debut episode of DMTV, you can check that out in the embedded video below.

Hammerstone defeated Cody Deaner in a Sin City Street Fight

  • Hammerstone locks Cody Deaner in the Torture Rack to win via submission.

After the match, Hammerstone refused to let go of the Torture Rack, which brought out Jake Something. Something took Hammerstone down until security came to the ring to separate the two men.

In a digital exclusive that aired after iMPACT last week, Nemeth has a neck injury following the attack from The System, which allows Broken Matt Hardy to take his spot at Under Siege.

How long can The System stay on top of TNA iMPACT?

Speedball Mountain and Broken Matt Hardy are backstage. Trent Seven says The System is too much to take on alone, and they need to add to the team. Mike Bailey says tomorrow night at Under Siege they will delete The System. Broken Matt Hardy says The System must be annihilated, liquidated, and deleted!

Hardy says Speedball and Trent Seven are now honorary members of House Hardy. They are now known as Trent the Seventh and the Ball of Speed. Hardy says they shall render The System obsolete.

Another weird vignette airs for Jonathan Gresham. His first match back with TNA will be against KUSHIDA.

Joe Hendry comes to the ring to “apologize” to AJ Francis and Rich Swann. Hendry says he needs to sing a new song for his apology to First Class, but first, he sings the Cheez-It song. Hendry then sings the redone AJ Styles about Francis pretty much turning this into a live concert than an apology. Francis looks furious from the VIP balcony.

Hendry then sings his “apology” song that’s a remake cover of the classic Creed song “Higher.” You can check out the concert in the embedded video below.

The System hypes TNA Under Siege tomorrow

The System comes out onto the stage for an interview with Gia Miller. Eddie Edwards says Under Siege is going to be a historic night when Alisha Edwards brings gold to The System. Edwards says TNA needs The System. Brian Myers says he doesn’t know how Speedball Mountain even got in this match and says they are just riding the coat tails of Matt Hardy.

Moose says Hardy is a TNA Legend but while he’s been gone, he’s become a TNA Legend as well. Moose says The System can’t be deleted and they will delete them at Under Siege. Alisha says at the end of the day, you always trust The System.

Ace Austin (w/ Chris Bey) defeated Trey Miguel (w/ The Rascalz)

  • Ace Austin hits Trey Miguel with The Fold to score the pinfall victory.

Austin is now the number one contender for Mustafa Ali’s X-Division Championship.

Josh Alexander and Eric Young are backstage. Alexander says he has no love for Frankie Kazarian or Steve Maclin. Young says if Alexander doesn’t like Maclin, neither does he, and he certainly doesn’t like Kazarian. Young says they’ll see Kazarian and Maclin tomorrow night at Under Siege.

Ash by Elegance arrives to watch the main event in the VIP balcony.

The TNA Knockouts Championship is on the line in the main event!

Jordynne Grace defeated Miyu Yamashita to retain the TNA Knockouts Championship

  • Jordynne Grace hits Miyu Yamashita with the Juggernaut Driver to score the pinfall victory.

Grace celebrates her victory but is laid out by Steph De Lander and Kon. De Lander tells Kon to break her neck. The lights go out and come back on and PCO is in the ring to even the odds. Grace and PCO stand tall as TNA iMPACT goes off the air.
