TLC and apparel brand Good American have unveiled “CrazySexyGood,” a new campaign centered around female empowerment and inspired by their uplifting 1999 anthem, “Unpretty.”

“It is so important for young women to have role models to look up to. It’s incredible to see a brand like Good American that stands for empowering women and promoting the message that you don’t need to change your body shape, style, or who you are, just to fit into what society considers sexy,” said Chilli, 51, in a statement.

“We are excited to be a part of this campaign because it’s everything we’ve always stood for as a group. We were never the typical “girly-girls” society expected us to be and we were proud to provide a platform that inspired women to embrace their authentic selves. This is the way TLC started and it’s who we are today — unapologetic about who we are, what we wear, and how we feel, and we are proud to share this message alongside Good American.”

“CrazySexyGood” pairs ’90s nostalgia with Good American denim, puffer coats, and leather pieces. In an interview with Cosmopolitan, Chilli revealed she loves the timelessness of the Good American jeans while T-Boz expressed her love for the comfortability and sleekness of their Better Than Leather collection.

“We were all tomboys back then, and that was reflected a lot in our personal style,” T-Boz added. “We strived to be trendsetters and push the envelope when it came to our fashion and what it meant for girls to be ‘sexy.’ We always wanted to prove to young women that wearing an oversized tee and baggy jeans can still be sexy—because sexy is a feeling of confidence that comes from within!”

Chilli later chimed in to speak on the significance of their song, “Unpretty,” in the campaign.

“We want to empower women to be strong, and confident in their own skin and know that you don’t have to look, act, or speak in one particular way to be ‘pretty,'” the Diva’s Christmas Carol actress explained. “Like ‘Unpretty,’ this campaign empowers women to be their authentic selves, and shares the message that you do not have to meet unrealistic beauty standards.”
