Titan Championship Wrestling holding fundraiser for Shriners hospital in Bayville

The past four years, the community has supported Titan Championship Wrestling.

On Feb. 17, the wrestling promotion is going to return the favor.

Titan Championship Wrestling will hold a card at the Bayville Elks Lodge, and it won't be just a wrestling show.

The federation is donating 100 percent of all ticket sales to The Shriners Children's Hospital of Philadelphia from the Wrestlers to the Rescue event.

And what makes it all special is everyone associated with the show is not only doing it all for charity, but they couldn't be more excited about it.

“Every single dollar from every single ticket is going to the Shriners,” said TCW owner Billy Fetzke, a Jersey Shore native who now lives in North Carolina, but continues to pay monthly visits to the area for shows. “The entire proceeds. Every single ticket. All of the wrestlers, staff, camera people, photographer, the whole kit and kaboodle. They’re doing it for free. Everyone.

“It means so much. It feels great to be able to do something like that, it makes me happy. But it’s everyone. When I told people about this event, I was bombarded, the entire roster came up and said they wanted to do it. For free. We’ve been around for four years and we’ve had so much support. Now we are giving back. Guys and girls are so excited."

Fetzke decided to do this when a fan suggested teaming up with the Shriners for a fundraising event, so he inquired. He filled out a form on the hospital’s website and a day later they said they were on board. Shortly after, Fetzke lined up the roughly 40 people he would need to put on the show and then it was off to the races.

“We have a great roster of good men and women,” said Fetzke, a Sayreville native. “We’ve built something special here. We are consistent, we run shows every month and we go a lot of places. We’ll do New York, and we have a show down here in North Carolina, but most of it, it’s the Jersey Shore, that’s our home.”

While Fetzke is excited about the cause, he’s also excited about the event, which will feature all the stars of Titan Championship Wrestling.

The night, which begins at 7 p.m., features Jaco defending his middleweight championship against Jus Sayin. Justin Bongiovi takes on Andry Paulino, Ken Powers battles Jay OutKast for the American championship, Face makes his debut against Michael Fain, TKO Kocenko meets Flash Carter, Tiffany Avatar meets Francesca Chini, J Boujii meets Evander James, Ben Castle takes on Aaron Roxas, Blokz is up against KC Lycan, Frankie Pickard vs. Daniel Riley, the Icon Magic will meet E Money Milli and a battle royal featuring all of the stars.

“We are a family entertainment company that’s growing,” said Fetzke, who is rented the building and is paying the insurance to run the event. “We started in 2020, and this is our 52nd event. We don’t cancel, we are consistent, we put on the best product we can. Titan strong, Titan proud. We live by that.”

And they hope the night is a success. All tickets are $20, and Fetzke is happy it’s going to a great cause.

“The community is here for us, we want to be here for them and give back,” Fetzke said. “It should be a very fun night, everyone is looking forward to it, and we’re excited.”

All tickets for the show are $20. For information, visit the promotion's Facebook page.
