Tish Cyrus Says She Loves Maxx Morando as Miley's Boyfriend: 'She's in an Amazing Place' (Exclusive)

Tish Cyrus, who just launched season four of her "Sorry We're Stoned" podcast with daughter Brandi, says Miley is thriving in her relationship

He's got mom's stamp of approval — Tish Cyrus says she's a big fan of her daughter Miley dating Liily drummer Maxx Morando, whom the "Wrecking Ball" singer has been linked to since December 2021.

"He's cute," Tish tells PEOPLE, adding that she's never seen her daughter happier: "I think it shows just by looking at Miley, her face and her smile at the Grammys and just everything about her that she's in an amazing place."

She continues with a laugh, "Miley is just so fulfilled in her life, and that everything's working out perfectly. That's all I'll say about Maxx!"

Tish, 56, and her eldest child Brandi Cyrus, 36, recently launched season 4 of their podcast Sorry We're Stoned, where they talk about everything from the family dynamic to Tish smoking weed, and, yes, Miley, who just won her first two Grammys: best pop vocal performance and record of the year for her hit "Flowers."

"Just honestly, again, I think it's so much about how she feel on the inside," Tish says, noting that Miley no longer drinks alcohol or smokes marijuana.

"I really don't know that I've ever seen her happier. So I think that's really just coming from within, and also has to do with growing up. She's 31, so she's just stepped into who she really truly is, and it is just working."

Being in love doesn't hurt either: A source recently told PEOPLE that the couple have even taken the next step in their relationship by moving in together.

"She is very happy with him," the insider said, adding, “Miley has changed a lot in the past couple of years. She seems more calm and harmonious. Everyone loves Maxx. He’s a great guy. She is very happy with him. He’s private and doesn’t like being in the press. It’s been good for her.”
