Charismatic and unbelievably handsome A list actor Timothee Chalamet is said to portray iconic musician and all overall historic figure, Bob Dylan. The news broke last night, and the Timothee stans lost their minds. This young man's takeover of the Hollywood Industry began with the iconic movie “Call Me by Your Name” based on the book by the same title written by “Andre Aciman”, and directed by the beloved “Luca Guadagnino”. This little indie film shot in Italy wasn't a sure success. With the plot revolving around a coming of age love story between two men it seems as if no one could have predicted Timothy's unprecedented rise to fame. After being nominated for best lead actor at the 2018 Oscars Timothee had solidified his place in such a rocky industry. Some of his already acclaimed films at just the tender age of 24 include Lady Bird, Beautiful Boy, and Little Women. He is set to be the lead in Dune alongside other high caliber actors like Zendaya from the hit show Euphoria on HBO.

Now, his career hasn't come without any push back at all. As the momentum was growing he did decide to grab at the opportunity to be directed by Woody Allen in his film “ A Rainy Day in New York” with Selena Gomez acting as his love interest. This of course was met with immense criticism and Timothee ending up posting a detailed apology on Instagram for working with Allen, in turn, pledging to donate all his earnings from the never-released film to an LGBTQ organization.

With his humble personality on full display in countless interviews, it’s suggested that Timothee is like all of us. He gets nervous and doesn't like all the attention on him which is refreshing to see someone so successful. The consensus on him portraying Bob Dylan who is such a complex character on his own merit is that he can do it. Critics and fangirls alike feel as if Chalamet will show out with this biopic taking no prisoners with his honest relaying of emotions as well as profound pain. But, with every drop of love, there is a drop of doubt. A select few took to twitter and found old videos of Chalamet from his youth enjoying musicians like Kid Cudi, Frank Ocean, and Kanye. This has brought into question whether Chalamet will be able to connect to Dylan’s music style as well as his life.
