Timothée Chalamet is checking out Bob Dylan's old stomping grounds.

On Friday, the Hibbing High School drama department in Hibbing, Minnesota, shared a series of photos on Facebook showing students meeting with Chalamet, 28, as he visited Dylan's alma mater the day prior.

"HHS Drama accidentally blew up the internet: We spent about 45 minutes with Timothée Chalamet yesterday at the historic Hibbing Auditorium," the school's drama department wrote in the post. "He was a total gem. In town researching all things Bob Dylan for an upcoming biopic, he asked his tour guide if he could meet with the drama students who were working on their competition one act."

"He sat down with them one on one, and talked acting and theater," the post says of Chalamet's visit. "He was such a kind and easy going person, and our students were so grateful to have such a special experience."

Photos shared on Facebook of Chalamet's visit show him posing for photos and mingling with the school's students, who were rehearsing for their production of The Girl in the White Pinafore.

"In an area where sports programs can overshadow the arts, we were so glad our incredibly hard-working arts students got to meet a professional and mentor in their own field, and see themselves in him," the drama department wrote on Facebook.

They added, "After our guest left, our students had their final dress rehearsal. And they nailed it. Something must have inspired them."

Chalamet has been linked to a Dylan-centric movie titled A Complete Unknown — a reference to the 82-year-old's 1965 song "Like a Rolling Stone" — since 2020.

The film's director, James Mangold, told Collider back in April 2023 that he intended to start filming the movie in August, but it appears the 2023 Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA strikes delayed shooting.

"It's such an amazing time in American culture, and the story of Bob's — a young, 19-year-old Bob Dylan coming to New York with two dollars in his pocket and becoming a worldwide sensation within three years," Mangold, 60, told the outlet about the untitled movie during an interview.

"First being embraced into a family of folk music in New York and of course kind of outrunning him at a certain point as his star rises so beyond belief," he continued.

On Thursday, Deadline reported that A Complete Unknown is scheduled to begin filming in New York in March. The outlet added that Edward Norton will join the movie's cast as folk singer Pete Seeger.

Per the outlet, the film centers around Dylan's groundbreaking pivot to using an electric guitar in 1965, with Elle Fanning also included in the ensemble.
