Timothée Chalamet brought a lot of energy to the 2021 comedy Don't Look Up.

In Chalamet's recent GQ profile story (the interview was conducted before the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike began in July), the actor recalled spending more time quarantining alone before filming Don't Look Up with Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio than he did on the movie's set.

By Chalamet's estimate, he spent 24 days in Boston for the apocalyptic comedy. As he told GQ, he spent 14 of those days quarantining in a hotel room and only 10 days working on the Adam McKay-directed movie.

“By the time I got to set I was buzzing,” Chalamet, 27, recalled. “That was the day Jennifer said was the most annoying day of her life, working with me and Leo. I exploded out of my room."

Lawrence previously joked that filming a scene with Chalamet and DiCaprio, in which the trio ride in a car together, constituted "the most annoying day of my life."

"They drove me crazy that day. I don't know what it was," she shared. "Timothée was just excited to be out of the house, I think it was his first scene. And Leo had picked the song that was playing in the car [The Mills Brothers' " 'Till Then"] and was just like, 'You know, this song is about blah, blah, blah.' "

"I don't know. I just remember being in absolute misery that day," she said at the time. "But they're very nice."

Lawrence and DiCaprio portrayed astronomers whose attempt to warn humanity about an impending extinction-level event fall on deaf ears. The film received four Oscar nominations at the 2022 Academy Awards, including one for Best Picture.

Chalamet most recently appeared in last year's horror-romance Bones and All. He will next appear in as Willy Wonka in Warner Bros.' Wonka, in theaters Dec. 15 and reprise his Dune role as Paul Atreides in Dune: Part Two, currently scheduled for release April 15, 2024.
