On Aug. 5, 2022, PEOPLE confirmed Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson broke up after nine months of dating.
"Part of the reason they split was because of their busy schedules," an insider told PEOPLE. "They both travel all the time and it was hard."
Kardashian and Davidson were among the couples that NBC's Saturday Night Live brought together, following the reality star's stint on the comedian's home turf in October 2021.
Not only did she make her hosting debut on the hit comedy show, but she tried her hand at acting in a few sketches too, including one opposite Davidson, who joined the cast in 2014. The two played Aladdin and Jasmine in a scene that ended with a kiss.

Kardashian was praised for her hosting skills, but just as her buzzy weekend had started to die down, the mom of four was back in the news once a photo of her and Davidson holding hands surfaced later that month.

Since then, the pair ramped up the romance big-time; in February 2022, the comedian referred to Kardashian as his "girlfriend" for the first time; he spent time with her children; and the two took a romantic vacation to Tahiti, after which a source said she was "head over heels" for the comedian.
Kardashian's new beau comes less than a year after filing for divorce from Kanye West in February 2021. Prior to the SKIMS mogul, the SNL alumnus was formerly engaged to Ariana Grande — but called it off in October 2018.

In celebration of Kid Cudi's birthday, Kardashian uploaded a photo to Twitter that pictured then-husband West, Timothée Chalamet, and Davidson. The crew was gathered around a table, seemingly enjoying each other's company.
October 9, 2021: Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson kiss on Saturday Night Live

When Kardashian made her SNL hosting debut, she took part in a number of skits during her time on the show. One of the more memorable performances was her skit with Davidson, in which they played Jasmine and Aladdin in a cheeky sketch with a twist on the Disney classic.
Not only was the scene hilarious, but it was romantic as well due to the pair's passionate kiss shared on-screen. Though scripted, this kiss marked the couple's first of many PDA-filled moments.
Kardashian later recalled the moment on Amanda Hirsch's Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast in April. "When we kissed, I was just like, 'Hmm!' It was a stage kiss, but it was still like, a little zing. It wasn't anything like a super-crazy feeling. I was just like, 'Hmm,' and then I was like, 'Wow, I really haven't kissed anyone else in 10 years, so maybe I'm just like being stupid and it's just nothing and it's just a stage kiss.' "
October 30, 2021: Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson spark relationship rumors
Following their sketch smooch, Kardashian and Davidson sparked relationship rumors when they were seen together at Knott's Scary Farm at the start of Halloween weekend at the end of the month.
While the two were joined by Kim's sister Kourtney Kardashian, Kourtney's now-husband Travis Barker and friends, Kardashian and Davidson were seen holding hands while on rides in exclusive photos obtained by PEOPLE.
At the time, an insider told PEOPLE that they were "just friends," though in November 2021 another source added that they "have chemistry."

November 2, 2021: Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson have dinner in Staten Island
The two continued to spend time together after Knott's Scary Farm. Kardashian traveled to Davidson's native Staten Island, New York, to have dinner at Campania, an Italian restaurant.
Page Six reported that Davidson arranged a private dinner for the pair on the rooftop.
November 16, 2021: Kim Kardashian throws Pete Davidson a 28th birthday party

Davidson rang in his 28th birthday with Kardashian, Kris Jenner and rapper Flavor Flav at Jenner's Palm Springs home on November 16, 2021. Flavor Flav shared photos from his "adopted son" Davidson's celebration, which featured the group in matching SKIMS pajamas.
"Even when they are on different coasts, Kim and Pete stay in touch," an insider told PEOPLE at the time. "They are getting to know each other better and getting along great."
"Kim loves his spark. He is very funny, entertaining and makes Kim happy. They are still dating and enjoying it. He showers Kim with compliments and she loves it."
November 17, 2021: Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson are seen holding hands in Palm Springs

Following Davidson's birthday celebration, the pair were spotted out the following weekend in Palm Springs, holding hands and smiling. Davidson still had on his SKIMS pajama pants while Kardashian wore gray sweats and a pair of Yeezy Boost 700s from her estranged husband's coveted footwear brand.
November 21, 2021: Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson enjoy romantic dinner in Los Angeles
The couple enjoyed another romantic meal together, this time on Kardashian's turf in L.A. The two ate dinner at Italian restaurant Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, California. Per photos from the outing, they arrived at the upscale eatery in Davidson's Lamborghini SUV and were accompanied by a bodyguard.
A source told PEOPLE that they arrived at the restaurant holding hands and "were both in a great mood."
"They sat very close to each other and Kim kept giggling," the insider said. "He was very pleasant and ordered a lot of food for them. They shared several pasta dishes. He had his arm around Kim and they were very flirty. You could tell that Kim had the best time. They very much acted like a couple."
November 27, 2021: Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson grab breakfast together in Beverly Hills
Dutch music journalist Paul Barewijk stumbled upon the couple having a breakfast date at the Beverly Hills Hotel and was lucky enough to snag a few photos. Barewijk told PEOPLE via Instagram that he ran into the pair during his vacation in L.A. from Amsterdam.
"They looked happy, sat close to each other and walked away together," Barewijk said of the duo. "It looked like a date to me," he added, saying that the couple stuck around for a few minutes before leaving.
December 18, 2021: Scott Disick joins Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson on their Staten Island dinner date

The couple headed back to Staten Island to watch Spider-Man: No Way Home. This time, Scott Disick joined the pair on their date.
The outing was a result of Davidson's impromptu night off from SNL, which downsized its cast and crew — and cancelled its live audience and musical guest — amid a spike in COVID-19 cases.
After the movie, the trio appeared to dine together at Angelina's Ristorante, which was teased in a TikTok video shared by user @rosieromao. In the clip, a group of women can be seen getting excited about Kardashian, Davidson and Disick's arrival at the Staten Island restaurant before the stars walk into the hot spot.
The Italian restaurant's Instagram account shared photos from the night with the caption, "Thank you Kim Kardashian, Pete Davidson, Scott Disick & others for having dinner at Angelina's last night. Truly great to serve, come back anytime. @kimkardashian @letthelordbewithyou"
December 25, 2021: Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson spend Christmas apart
After spending some quality time in Davidson's city of New York, Kardashian celebrated Christmas with her kids, without the SNL star.
"She had a good trip to New York," an insider told PEOPLE. "Pete took Kim to some of his favorite places. She had fun. Kim is celebrating Christmas with the kids and won't see Pete."
But while they didn't spend the holiday together, Davidson remained in L.A. with Kardashian — and a second source told PEOPLE that he planned on staying there until Christmas.
January 5, 2022: Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson vacation in the Bahamas
The pair kicked off the New Year with a short trip to the Bahamas. Davidson and Kardashian were spotted enjoying a boat trip together and appeared to be in good spirits with big smiles on their faces.
January 26, 2022: Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson have dinner at Jeff Bezos' house
Later in the month, the two were dinner party guests at Jeff Bezos' L.A. home, PEOPLE confirmed on Jan. 26.
Kardashian and Davidson rode together in Kardashian's car and stayed at Bezos' estate for hours before being spotted arriving at Davidson's Beverly Hills hotel, TMZ reported at the time.
Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble were also spotted arriving at Bezos' home for the party, which the Amazon co-founder hosted with partner Lauren Sanchez.
February 7, 2022: Pete Davidson calls Kim Kardashian his 'girlfriend' for the first time
During a chat with Kay Adams, host of PEOPLE (The TV Show!), Davidson opened up about living life in the spotlight and hanging with "girlfriend" Kardashian.
"Well, I don't really have Instagram — I don't have Instagram or Twitter or any of that stuff. So, most of my daily life is getting into cars and showing up to a set," the comedian said.
"Or, if I'm off, I just either hang with my friends or chill with my girlfriend inside. So I don't do much," he continued, referring to Kardashian with the title publicly for the first time.
February 2022: Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson celebrate first Valentine's Day
The two dined at Italian restaurant Lilia in Brooklyn, New York, the weekend before Valentine's Day. Kardashian and Davidson held hands and made their way towards a private dining tent, which was set up outside the establishment.
For the romantic night out, Kardashian wore a sparkling gray monochrome look that included the same fuzzy coat she wore while having dinner ahead of her SNL debut in October 2021.

Davidson appeared more casual, wearing a brown jacket over a blue and black plaid shirt with a white T-shirt underneath.
The night before the holiday, the two were spotted sharing a kiss while out to dinner with friends at Cipriani in New York City. A source told PEOPLE at the time that Kardashian flew to N.Y.C. to spend time with Davidson while he filmed the horror movie The Home.
March 11, 2022: Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson go Instagram official

The couple made their Instagram debut on March 11, with Kardashian sharing two photos of Davidson.
One photo showed the pair laying on the floor as Davidson leaned back into Kardashian's lap and looked up at his girlfriend. The other photo featured Kardashian and Davidson in a blurry, black and white selfie.
"Whose car are we gonna take?!" Kardashian captioned the slideshow, which also included photos of her in a sparkly coat and silver thigh-high boots.
March 2022: Kim Kardashian opens up about her relationship with Pete Davidson on The Ellen DeGeneres Show

The star gushed about her boyfriend on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, after going Instagram official just days before.
"I guess it's not official until you post," Kardashian joked to host Ellen DeGeneres on March 16.
"I have the cutest pictures of us and I want to be like, 'Oh my God, we're so cute.' But then I'm like, 'Don't be so desperate. Don't be posting so much, just give a glimpse,' " she shared. "I don't know what the right thing to do is, like, I haven't dated in since before Instagram existed. Yeah, I don't know what the rules are."
April 7, 2022: Kim Kardashian brings Pete Davidson to The Kardashians L.A. premiere
Davidson supported Kardashian at the premiere of Hulu's The Kardashians the night of April 7 at Goya Studios in L.A. Kardashian wore a sleek, body-hugging silver dress while Davidson kept things casual with a black blazer over a white T-shirt.
The pair were also seen holding hands during the event. The Kardashians premiered April 14 on Hulu.
April 30, 2022: Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson make their red carpet debut

The couple made their red carpet debut at the White House Correspondents' Dinner on April 30 in Washington, D.C. Davidson joined Kardashian as her guest at the dinner, which celebrates the work of White House journalists and the media.
Kardashian stunned in a form-fitting, silver Balenciaga Couture gown, while Davidson wore a black suit with matching sunglasses, a skinny tie and Vans.

Though Kardashian's choice to wear Marilyn Monroe's dress might have been controversial, her date night with Davidson was nothing but smooth sailing, with her date showering her with affection and helping her navigate the Metropolitan Museum of Art's famous steps in her formfitting gown.
June 2, 2022: Kim Kardashian reveals who made the first move in her relationship with Pete Davidson
The reality star finally addressed her romance with Davidson for the first time during an episode of The Kardashians, and also shared who initiated things first.
"So, this is how it went down with Pete. I did SNL, and then when we kissed in scene, it was just a vibe," she explained. "And I was like, 'Oh, s---. Maybe I just need to try something different!'"
"But Pete does not come to my after-party — everyone was at my after-party — [he] does not give me the time of day, so a few days later, I called the producer at SNL and was like, 'Hey, do you have Pete's number? And they were like, 'Yeah,'" she continued. "I text him. I wasn't even thinking like, 'Oh my God, I'm gonna be in a relationship with him.' I was just thinking, 'Heard about this BDE [big d--- energy], need to get out there, I need to jumpstart my...'"
Kardashian then admitted to the cameras, "I was just basically DTF [down to f---]."
Although she reached out to producers in October 2021, Davidson actually inquired sooner.
"After we got together and it was a thing, Megan Fox texts me and is like, 'Is this s--- for real?" she explained. "Because he asked me for your number months ago, and I was like, 'Dude, you have a better shot [of] me and MGK [Machine Gun Kelly] getting eaten by crocodiles than you [do] ever getting her number. Never gonna happen, do not ask us.' "
June 13, 2022: Kim Kardashian shares romantic photos from island getaway with Pete Davidson

Kardashian and Davidson jetted off to Tahiti for a romantic getaway, during which Davidson passed the all-important "content taking boyfriend test." The SKKN mogul posted some silly selfies, a few bikini shots and a steamy smooch in the water in the photos which she captioned "Beach for 2".
"It's their first summer as a couple and they are having a blast," a source told PEOPLE of their vacation. "They were in Tahiti for several days without the kids. Kim is head over heels. She can't get enough of Pete. He treats her so well. He is protective, super supportive and just a great guy for Kim. She is the happiest."
June 21, 2022: Kim Kardashian says Pete Davidson had to teach her about Saturday Night Live
Kardashian admitted during an interview on The Tonight Show that she had never watched an episode of SNL prior to hosting the sketch comedy show on Oct. 9 last year.
"I was nervous for a second because, I have to be honest, I had never seen SNL before," she told host Jimmy Fallon. "I had gone to one taping of Eddie Murphy [in 2019], and I had gone backstage."
While she demonstrated her now understanding of the legendary NBC series, referring to it as "iconic," she made another confession that was nonetheless more shocking than the first — specifically to the host and former SNL alum.
"I gotta be honest," she told Fallon, "I had no idea you were on." But he's not all, as she also shared that she texted Davidson to ask if Will Ferrell was on the show, too.
Despite her lack of SNL knowledge prior to the hosting gig, she comforted everyone in knowing that she had "been schooled" by her boyfriend on the show's history.
Aug. 5, 2022: PEOPLE confirms Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson have split
PEOPLE confirmed the pair split in early August, as Davidson was filming in Australia and Kardashian continued her work and family life in L.A.

Aug. 8, 2022: Sources tell PEOPLE that Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson's relationship "ran its course"
Reconciliation is "not in the cards" for Kardashian and Davidson, as sources revealed to PEOPLE just days after the news of the couple's "amicable split" broke.
"They've definitely been slowing down," one insider said. "Things heated up quickly in the beginning when he could travel back and forth to see Kim and spend time with her, but his schedule has gotten so packed."
Davidson has been busy filming a movie in Australia, while Kardashian continues to run a multi-billion-dollar empire and raise four kids.
"Pete is still super bummed, though, about the breakup," the insider continued. "They really hit it off and had a ton of fun together, but it feels like it ran its course."
Sept. 6, 2022: Kim Kardashian calls Pete Davidson "such a good person" during conversation with Interview Magazine
One month after the couple's split, Kardashian sat down with Interview Magazine and revealed that there is no bad blood between her and Davidson.
"He's a cutie," Kardashian said of the SNL star. "He's literally such a good person, they don't really make them like him anymore." She added, "I'm excited for what he has coming up."
September 14, 2022: Kim Kardashian says her next beau could be a lawyer
Kardashian opened up about potential future mates during an appearance on The Late Late Show. Host James Corden asked the reality star how she looks for a partner, to which Kardashian responded, "I haven't really thought about it, because I'm not looking. I just want to chill for a minute. I think I need some time to myself and to focus, finish school, all that. But I think my next route, I feel like I have to ... go to different places. Clearly, it's not working, whatever I'm doing."
She named places where she could find her next love, saying, "Maybe [I could go to] a hospital and meet a doctor, [or] a law firm." The Kardashians star added, "I think it's going to be, like, scientist, neuroscientist, biochemist, doctor, attorney [next]. That's maybe what I envision in the future."
October 2022: Fans suspect Pete Davidson removed his tattoo dedicated to Kim Kardashian
Davidson was spotted on the set of Bupkis in New York with a bandage underneath the top of his shirt. Some suspect the bandage was proof Davidson had started the process of removing his "my girl is a lawyer" tattoo, which was dedicated to Kardashian.
However, a source close to Davidson told PEOPLE that's not the case. "While he continues to remove his tattoos, that image is from set and not related to removing the lawyer tattoo," the insider said.
October 6, 2022: Kim Kardashian talks about Pete Davidson dating "hot girls"
Kardashian reflected on why women are attracted to Davidson on The Kardashians. "Pete has the best heart," she explained in an episode, which was filmed when the two were still together. "I feel like people, they have this, like, idea of him that he dates all these hot girls. And he does. But he's just the sweetest, most thoughtful person."
She also spoke about her then-boyfriend's interest in going to space. When the episode was filmed, Davidson was set to join Blue Origin's 20th mission to space, though he ultimately didn't end up going. In the episode, Kardashian admitted she was initially unsure about the trip. "Jeff Bezos invited Pete to go to space," the SKIMS founder said. "I really can't believe it — that he's gonna go. It seems like such a scary concept to me."
After talking with Bezos about the safety of the trip, she said she felt comfortable with Davidson blasting off, though she wasn't planning to join the journey. "If I didn't have four kids, I would absolutely go," she said.
October 13, 2022: Kim Kardashian shares that she and Pete Davidson had fireplace sex
While chatting with her grandma, Mary Jo "MJ" Shannon, on an episode of The Kardashians, Kardashian shared that she and Davidson had fireplace sex at the Beverly Hills Hotel in L.A.
"Pete and I were staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel last weekend, and we were sitting in front of the fireplace, just talking for hours, and I was like, 'My grandma told me that you really live life when you have sex in front of the fireplace,' and so we had sex in front of the fireplace in honor of you," the SKIMS founder told her grandmother.
Kardashian added: "But how creepy to think about your grandma before you have sex?"
During the same episode, Kris Jenner gushed about Davidson in a confessional.
"Pete is amazing. No drama, no stress, he's just Pete," she said. "[He] fits in with the family. I think Kim is happy, she laughs, she's more confident, Pete brings out the best in her."
January 2023: Pete Davidson removes tattoos dedicated to Kim Kardashian
Photographers captured Davidson walking shirtless on a beach in Hawaii with his new love interest, Chase Sui Wonders. The photos indicate that all of his Kardashian-related tattoos have been completely removed, including the "my girl is a lawyer" ink and his "Kim" branding.
