A photographer based in Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia, captured timelapse footage of the moon rising behind Cape Byron Lighthouse on October 2.
The footage was captured by Kelvin Hennessy. In the description of the original video, Hennessy said he shot the video from a beach 2.5 km (1.5 miles) away from the lighthouse.
“I used the iPhone app ‘PhotoPills’ to find the exact shooting location that allowed the moon to silhouette the most people yet still appear behind the top of the lighthouse as it rose,” said Hennessy. Credit: Kelvin Hennessy via Storyful
