That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Plot & Vision of Coleus
The series follows Rimuru, whose tenure as a teacher concludes after saving Engrassia’s children. Summoned by Yuuki, the Free Union’s Grandmaster, Rimuru, under the alias Satoru, embarks on a covert mission in Coleus Kingdom. He uncovers political turmoil and malicious plots entangled in a succession struggle, driven by demons and vampires.
Coleus no Yume, a text story initially accompanying the second season’s Blu-ray release, became a cornerstone for the Scarlet Bonds film. Positioned between the TV series, it delves into the intrigue surrounding the Coleus Kingdom.

Fuse’s original serialization on Shōsetsuka ni Narō (Let’s Become Novelists) amassed over 400 million views. The novel’s print adaptation by Micro Magazine commenced in 2014, reaching its climax in March 2021, with plans for side stories after its 22nd volume. Yen Press publishes the English version.
The anime adaptation debuted in October 2018, followed by a second season. The Slime Diaries spinoff aired alongside the second season and a subsequent film. The film, titled That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bonds, premiered in November 2022, expanding the franchise’s narrative tapestry.
The series’ multifaceted storytelling, vibrant characters, and intricate world-building continue to captivate audiences, adding depth and dimension to the isekai genre.
