Timber Lake Playhouse has full schedule of spring events

There’s a lot going on at Timber Lake Playhouse (TLP) this spring and there’s something for just about everyone!

The playhouse is working with local band Better Late Than Never (BLTN) on a fundraising concert on Saturday, April 27 at 7 p.m. BLTN concerts feature continually changing cover set lists that fans say they have never heard covered by other bands. BLTN’s four musicians all have over twenty years of experience, including professional education in music, studio recording experience and Nashville record label experience.

TLP’s Kentucky Derby Party and Bourbon Tasting Event is on May 4 at 3:30 pm. Bourbon tastings, a barbecue dinner and a viewing of the Kentucky Derby fill the day with excitement. Don’t forget to wear your best Derby outfits and hats!

Junie B. Jones makes a delightful appearance in “Jonie B. Jones, The Musical” at the playhouse from May 7 – 11 at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Barbara Park’s heroine lets viewers peek into the “Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal” and introduces kids to Junie and her school adventures. With loveable characters and fun-filled songs, Junie B. Jones the Musical will captivate audiences the way the books captivated a generation of students.

Dog auditions for the production of “The Wizard of Oz” will be on May 11 at 4 p.m.

“The Four C Notes: Recreating the Music of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons” comes to TLP on May 18.

TLPalooza is a day full of games, food, music and theatre tours on May 25. A highlight is the evening concert by Jonny Lyons & The Pride.
