Tim Tebow greets autistic fan, hits three-run home run

There’s just something about this Tim Tebow guy.

The football-turned-baseball player has been blasting home runs in the minor leagues for the St. Lucie Mets and inspiring fans along the way.

But very few moments can compare to this one, which came on July 29. Tebow, in the on-deck circle, was approached by then-9-year old Seth Bosch (he has since turned 10). Tebow left the on-deck circle to greet Bosch, who has high-functioning autism and suffers from neurofibromatosis, which is “a genetic disorder that produces tumors on the nerve tissue,” per the Tampa Bay Times. Bosch returned to his seat, overcome with emotion.

Just seconds later Tebow proceeded to blast a three-run home run. The video, seen below, has gone viral:

This is simply awesome — an incredible display of kindness and compassion from Tebow. The former quarterback, 29, has hit a bit of a slump at the plate in August, but that certainly pales in comparison to the impact he made on this young fan’s life.
