TikToker Spends $700 on Blair Waldorf's Iconic Marc Jacobs Dress from “Gossip Girl ”White Party: 'Totally Worth It'

The TikToker found the white Marc Jacobs Joelle Mini Dress on Poshmark in her exact size!

Hailee Hathcock Wilkes has always been a Gossip Girl fan, especially after falling in love with the chic, upscale style of the show's Upper East Side Queen, Blair Waldorf.

So when the 27-year-old content creator was planning her birthday bash in the Hamptons (which took place this past weekend,) she knew she had to track down the iconic white Marc Jacobs Joelle Mini Dress the fictional TV character wore to her "Hampton's White Party" in Season 2, Episode 1.

"I actually tried to find it years ago when I first watched the show — I obviously had no luck since it was no longer being sold by Marc Jacobs," Wilkes, who resides in Winter Park, Florida, tells PEOPLE. "This past summer, I started looking for the dress again and got so lucky when I found it on Poshmark in my exact size!"

"I paid around $700 for it — I know it retailed originally for a bit less, but it is vintage Marc Jacobs and still one of my favorite dresses I'd ever seen from my favorite TV show," she adds. "I'd definitely say it was worth it and a piece I'll keep in my collection."

In the lead-up to the party, Wilkes instructed all her guests to arrive in white. However, she kept the fact that she'd secured the exact Blair Waldorf dress a secret until the first night of the trip when they watched Gossip Girl's "Summer Kind of Wonderful" episode.

She says, "I kind of did a little reveal for all my friends then! They all knew the dress and how iconic it was—so it was so fun getting all of their reactions!"

At the party, Wilkes donned the dress and shared a video of the final look on TikTok, which has gone viral with 324,000 views. In addition to the dress, the Gossip Girl lover accessorized the look with a similar white bow headband to the one Blair wore. She also paired the dress with white-pointed heels and wore her hair in curls.

She adds, "I'm not sure if I'll wear it again, but hopefully I'll pass it down to a daughter or niece one day if they're into fashion like I am."

Since posting Wilkes – who also hosted an entire Gossip Girl-themed party in NYC last year for her 26th birthday – says people have reached out wondering how she'd tracked down the dress. "Share the dress deetsssss," one person commented on her TikTok. "I SEARCHED like crazy for that dress 5 years ago," another person wrote.

So, she posted another TikTok video with all the details of the vintage dress. She adds that it's been so fun to see other Gossip Girl fans interested in her look.

"I didn't really plan out that specific post, but knew how iconic the dress was, so I decided to post it to TikTok for all the other Gossip Girl-lovers out there," she says. "I'm always posting my outfits and party inspo to my social pages, and I've been so happy with the response to this one in particular!"

She continues: "Everyone has been so supportive and positive about the video, which is so fun to see!"
