Just this week, the following things happened to the president*.

He was credibly accused before Congress of welcoming the help of Russian ratfckers in his 2016 campaign.

He was credibly accused of lying about that in written answers to a special counsel.

He was credibly accused of obstructing injustice in regards to the investigation of the episode.

He was credibly accused of having violated his oath of office almost from the moment he took it.

Also, he went completely, raving bananas on live television from the grounds of the White House. If he'd have been an old man on a sidewalk in Los Angeles or Chicago, he'd probably be locked up by now.

He turned to Nancy Pelosi and the House Democrats to get a budget deal passed for which he couldn't get the votes of a third of his own party's caucus.

Here is the reaction of one of Washington's premier journals of opinion:

Trump’s good week

He was visibly elated on Wednesday as Mueller’s testimony in back-to-back hearings unfolded on national television, according to two people who spoke with him, telling aides and allies he believed it would quash momentum in the Democratic party for an impeachment inquiry.

Several Democratic MOC's who'd been on the fence came out in favor of an impeachment inquiry in the wake of Mueller's testimony.

I give up. I truly do.

But welcome back, Tiger Beat On The Potomac.
