Tiffany Haddish knows she needs to do something differently following two arrests for suspicion of driving under the influence.

The comedian was taken into custody for the second time on Friday for falling asleep at the wheel. In a conversation with Entertainment Tonight after her second arrest, Haddish said she’s determined to make changes.

“I’m going to get some help so I can learn balance and boundaries,” she told the publication.

She explained that she had a long day on Thanksgiving, starting with feeding underprivileged people at The Laugh Factory, followed by a holiday stand-up set at the comedy club’s 43rd annual feast and then went to see Yächtley Crëw perform at the El Rey Theatre.

Haddish also shared that her Tesla parked itself when she fell asleep on the road but was blocking a portion of the street. Despite the arrest, the Haunted Mansion actress said she was in good spirits and praised the Beverly Hills Police Department for its professionalism.

Officers responded to a call for a welfare check on someone whose car had stopped in the middle of a few lanes of traffic Friday at 5:45 a.m., a representative told The Hollywood Reporter after the incident. When they arrived, Haddish was asleep in the driver’s seat and arrested. She was released later that day.

In January 2022, the actress was similarly arrested in Peachtree City, Georgia, where local police received a call around 2:30 a.m. local time that a driver had fallen asleep at the wheel on a highway.

Following her first arrest for DUI, Haddish joked on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that she had been “praying to God to send me a new man. A good man. And God went ahead and sent me four — in uniform.”
