Tiffany Haddish Jokes About Finding Love During DUI Arrest

Love can find someone in unpredictable and unconventional ways. Tiffany Haddish recently joked about finding her dream man while being arrested for driving under the influence.

The 43-year-old actress had a stand-up set at the Laugh Factory in Long Beach, Calif. on Friday (Nov. 24). That morning, she was found asleep at the wheel while her car engine was running in Beverly Hills. “What happened last night?” Haddish said. “Ah, damn. You tell me. I don’t know.”

She continued, making light of the situation and saying it was ordained by God. “I prayed to God to send me a man with a job, preferably in a uniform,” she said. “God answered my prayers. Because God believes in me.”

This wasn’t Haddish’s first DUI arrest, nor her first time joking that it was divine intervention in her love life. In 2022, she was arrested in Georgia for DUI and appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon later that evening. “I can say this, Jimmy,” she said on the show. “I’ve been praying to God to send me a new man. A good man. And God went ahead and sent me four… in uniform.”

She joked then about how, perhaps, she needed to clarify her prayers a bit more. “And now I got a really great lawyer, and we’re going to work it out,” she said. “I’ve got to get my asking of things to God a little better!”

Kodak Black tried to shoot his shot at Haddish last month, though he was more interested in creating content with her on OnlyFans than actual love. The Girls Trip actress shot down the idea, saying “Uh nope we not doing that. First of all I’m too old for that sh*t. Second of all, you know I got box office movies. I don’t need to go on an OnlyFans, okay?”
