Tiffany Evans Opens Up About Having “Nothing To Show For” Childhood Career

Singer and actress Tiffany Evans has reflected on her career as a child star after a photo of her and comedian Arsenio Hall surfaced online. She claimed that as an adult, she feels that she “has nothing to show for” her career.
On Sunday (Sept. 17), an Instagram account named Fly and Famous Black Girls posted the now 31-year-old as she appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in 2003.
“If I knew then what I know now I would have done things differently. I wish I could’ve changed so much that was going on around this little girl,” the Diary Of A Mad Black Woman actress said. “Everybody took from me. All relationships in this business for me squandered some opportunities that if you guys knew about it, you would’ve wanted to get it back in blood for me.”
She went on, “I spent years doing something that I love, to become an adult and have nothing to show for it. It bothers my mental a lot some time. The ones who know the truth, really know from a teenager to my adult years I went out looking for love in wrong places, was manipulated and terribly abused.”
Evans then spoke of her four daughters as she added, “Out of that kind of life I gained beautiful children, I met my soulmate but I really want to see what I worked so hard for all my childhood finally come to life! And I love music so I’m really working at it still y’all.”
“I trust the Lord. Thank you for always showing me love y’all! Please keep rooting for me.”
The New York-native began her journey in entertainment in 2003 when she competed on Star Search, hosted by Arsenio Hall. Evans made history as the first contestant to earn a perfect score on all of her performances. She went on to win the Grand Champion title in the junior singer division.
Evans has since taken on an acting career, appearing in Law & Order: SVU as actor Blair Underwood’s daughter, Tyler Perry’s Diary of a Mad Black Woman, CBS’s The District and BET’s The Quad series.
Evans also had a recording contract with Columbia Records at 10 years old and eventually went on to release the popular single, “Promise Ring” featuring Ciara from her self-titled debut album in April 2008. The project also featured single, “I’m Grown” with Bow Wow. In 2019, Evans returned to music with her single “Switch Up.”
