The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert will seek to honor the late Foo Fighters member Taylor Hawkins over two nights in London and Los Angeles this September. It will be presented by Foo Fighters and the Hawkins family, with the band sharing in a statement: “As one of the most respected and beloved figures in modern music, Taylor’s monolithic talent and magnetic personality endeared him to millions of fans, peers, friends and fellow musical legends the world over… The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts will unite several of those artists, the Hawkins family, and of course his Foo Fighters brothers in celebration of Taylor’s memory and his legacy as a global rock icon.”

What Is the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert?
The two-night celebration will be staged between London’s Wembley Stadium on September 3rd and Los Angeles’ Kia Forum on September 27th. The first venue was permanently enshrined in Foos lore thanks to their 2008 concert documentary Live at Wembley Stadium (perhaps most notable for Hawkins’ frontman moment covering Led Zeppelin’s “Rock and Roll” with Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones). Meanwhile, the Kia Forum show will return the band to Hawkins’ hometown roots in Los Angeles.
Who Is Playing the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert?
Hawkins’ friends, fans, and past collaborators are set to appear alongside Foo Fighters at both shows. In London, the guest list includes RUSH’s Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, Liam Gallagher, Queen’s Roger Taylor and Brian May, The Police’s Stewart Copeland, Jane’s Addiction’s Chris Chaney, Queens of the Stone Age’s Joshua Homme, Pretenders’ Chrissie Hynde, Dave Chappelle, Wolfgang Van Halen, Omar Hakim, and members of Hawkins’ covers band Chevy Metal.
The Los Angeles’ guest list is similarly massive, promising appearances from RUSH’s Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, Alanis Morissette, Miley Cyrus, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith, Rage Against the Machine’s Brad Wilk, Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor, Queens of the Stone Age’s Joshua Homme and Jon Theodore, Joan Jett, The Police’s Stewart Copeland, Jane’s Addiction’s Chris Chaney, Gene Simmons, Mötley Crüe’s Nikki Sixx, Mark Ronson, Omar Hakim, and Chevy Metal.
How Can I Get Tickets for the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert?
Tickets will be available starting Friday, June 17th at 9:00 a.m. local time. A pre-sale for subscribers of Foo Fighters’ mailing list will take place one day earlier on Thursday, June 16th at 9:00 a.m. local time.
