Thurston Moore Selling a Chunk of His Private Record Collection

The World of Echo record store has announced via Instagram that it will be offering more than 300 records from Thurston Moore’s private collection. The records will be available at its 128 Columbia Road location in London on October 5.

The records for sale include a ”broad range of genres, spanning multiple variants of jazz, noise, hardcore, black metal, ethnographic, punk and post-punk, no-wave, krautrock, ambient, electronic and the avant garde,” the post reads, adding that “a number of the records are highly collectible or rarely seen.”

The sale coincides with the start of Moore’s tour in support of Spirit Counsel, a 3xCD box set of “epic instrumental pieces” due out September 21 via the Daydream Library Series. He recently released a cover of New Order’s “Leave Me Alone” recorded with a crew of Manchester musicians in Salford, England.
